The impact of praise expressed by parents on relationships between siblings

The word „praise” is usually associated with something pleasant and positive. There is nothing strange about it, because praise can motivate to act and be nice to the person who receives it. It seems, therefore, that praising children by parents does not involve any kind of threat. But is it really so? The article deals with the issues related to upbringing, and more specifically the impact of praise from parents on relationships between children. Among other things, the issue of what praise is and what consequences it can have for the relationship between brothers and sisters was raised here. The way parents relate to their children, what messages they use, among others, when praising, seems to be important in the formation of the parent-child relationship, but also the relationship between siblings.
