Synopsis

The liturgy of the Church and its liturgical services are current and live reality because ordained clergy accomplish them at current time. Therefore, an ecclesiastical community and its clergy are often confronted with challenges that are impossible neither to foresee nor to be proposed with good solutions and instructions for them to be solved. Despite all difficulties, ministers search for answers sometimes in extreme situations, for instance, COVID 2019 restrictions. Good ideas and propositions are often abridged to a particular parish or just a few persons without further practical realization and implementation. Unfortunately, contradictory to liturgical norms, the liturgy’s spirit and theology practices are found in current practice as well. As result, the Liturgical Committee of Lviv Archeparchy, UGCC has initiated liturgical seminars for both the clergy and laity, aiming to find answers and solutions for current liturgical challenges, faithfuls’ liturgical formation, supporting ars celebrandi, and liturgical uniformity.
