When finishing school is not a joy… Or a contribution to reflections on sadness and mourning among students finishing their school education

Synopsis

In the adolescents’ life-span, completing the stage of school education is inextricably linked to the emergence of various feelings and emotions. Among them may appear unpleasant emotions from the spectrum of sadness – up to grief, depression, loss of hope (hopelessness) and motivational states related to them. This article is a short look at this understanding of sadness which affecting adolescents and a modest contribution to the empirical expansion of the described descriptions, connections and characteristics of sadness. Sadness, which can be both: pro-developmental and pathological for teenagers parting with school.
