Bringing students and teachers closer together in dialogue during the educational process
Synopsis
Dialogue in the educational process occurs in the form of an educational method and an educational strategy. The use of dialogue brings benefits for achieving the goal of preparing to meet the challenges encountered in life. To achieve it, rapprochement between the student and the teacher is important. The constitutive features of dialogue serve to get to know each other and bring students closer to the teacher. The determinants of dialogue as an educational method and an educational strategy serve to bring them closer. In implementing the dialogue method in the educational process, it is important for the participants to come closer together to recognizing the truth. This is achieved by examining one’s own experience and striving to understand it. All participants in the dialogue should be involved in order to reach an understanding. In implementing the educational strategy referred to as dialogical teaching, the basis is the teacher-student relationship created through language. Students are involved in shared educational experiences and create knowledge in the course of dialogue. Cooperation and reciprocity in the relationships between teachers and students enable them to reach an understanding.
