I’ve been working in this vineyard since morning and I’m not sad!
Synopsis
Professor Kamykowski is a theologian who writes scientific works and literary prose. The novel Agnes, Mathew… and plenty of questions about Church from year 2005 can be classified into these both categories because the story about a priest’s and lecturer’s single week of life was availed as a frame for the summary of his achievements in the field of scientific and practical ecclesiology. Describing his adventures in Cracow and on the way to The Tatra Mountains, Fr. Luke shows the struggle of a concerned priest, an eager apologist and a mystical poet. He bears witness to the priest’s efforts in achieving the virtue of patience indispensable in conducting a dialogue. Especially beautiful are the descriptions of priesthood prayers, that is dialogues with God and with oneself alone. In the last part of the article, I put several of his meditations on Church which occurred to be ecclesiological hymns.
