Data protection in the Catholic Church. Commentary on the General Decree of the Polish Bishops’ Conference on the Protection of Natural Persons with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data in the Catholic Church of 2018

The first volume of the commentary on the Decree consists of two parts. The first part deals with the „Introductory  Issues” in the area of data protection in the Church,  including, of particular importance, the genesis of the Decree and the rules of interpretation. The second part  contains a systematic explanation of the „Preamble” of the Decree. The commentary offers theoretical and practical remarks on data protection in the Church, as well as remarks on the legislative technique of the Decree. The authors make recommendations de lege ferenda.
