Założenia projektu „Najstarsze akta kapituł karmelitów dawnej obserwy w Polsce (do 1688) – edycja krytyczna” (2024–2027)

The project, funded by the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities and conducted at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in the years 2024–2027, aims to critically edit the oldest provincial chapter records of the Carmelite Order in Poland up to 1688. Its goal is to publish sources from Roman and Kraków archives in three volumes, also available online. The edition will support research on the history of the order, clergy, education, economy, and political-cultural relations. These records will lay the foundation for further prosopographical studies and a dictionary of Carmelites in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
