This paper presents the theoretical foundations and research conducted among engaged couples before commencing pre-marital courses (or classes) and in a re-test study approximately six months after the celebration of the sacramental marriage bond. The aim of the research was to obtain quantitative and qualitative data to verify hypotheses concerning the internal consistency of the respondents’ world of values and parenting attitudes, as well as statistically significant changes in the perception of the axiological horizon in young spouses after completing pre-marital education and entering sacramental marriage. As a result of processing the obtained data, a description was also prepared, showing the tendencies in the respondents’ views regarding the role of conversation and common prayer, the perceived utility of Church teaching in the lives of parents, and the respondents’ ranking of values and realities helpful in upbringing (parenting).
