The phenomenon of interpersonal closeness as an inspiration for scientific reflection
Synopsis
The article attempts a multidimensional approach to closeness. Its purpose is to show that closeness, understood as a relationship of an emotional, axiological and social nature, is an important point of reference for contemporary scientific reflection, transcending the boundaries of individual disciplines. In the first part of the article, the author defines closeness as a phenomenon, pointing out its ephemeral nature, while at the same time being embedded in permanent personal structures. He presents the anthropological basis of the relationship with reference to Christian personalism. The section on the axiological context of relationships shows the importance of values as a foundation for social integration and relational cohesion. Then, through the analysis of an interdisciplinary approach, the methodological validity of combining philosophical, sociological, pedagogical, psychological and legal perspectives in the study of closeness is presented. The chapter on combining apparent opposites reveals the tension between spontaneity and structure, subjectivity and norm, presence and as elements constituting lasting bonds. The article also calls for theory to be reinforced by practice, according to which scientific reflection should stem from and be verified by life experience. The whole leads to the conclusion that closeness as a relational phenomenon requires an integrated approach, open to dialogue between theory and practice and between different fields of knowledge.
