Synopsis

In the present article the author deals with the prototypes of the Church in the Old Testament. He draws attention to this communalcreative action of God in the Old Testament, emphasizing in particular the creative act as the initiation of the divine-human community and the covenant as the implementation of the divine-human community. He also distinguishes the Old Testament creations of the Church, showing God’s pedagogy in shaping the divine-human relationship (the Chosen Nation, Twelve Generations, Holy Remnant, Holy City, cult gathering, kingdom of God).
