Toward Understanding Orthodoxy. Anti-ecumenical currents of the Russian Orthodox Church

The purpose of this article is to present the position of the Russian Orthodox Church in the context of ecumenical dialogue, particularly concerning relations between Catholicism and Orthodoxy. It is important to note that the socio-political situation in Russia significantly impacts the current ecumenical dialogue and internal church relations, which may lead to divisions among its believers. It also presents the history of the Orthodox Church, including the challenges associated with ethnophilism, which are relevant in today’s context.
