Synopsis

This article is an excerpt from a master’s thesis prepared under the direction of Fr. Prof. Andrzej A. Napiorkowski OSPPE, as a part of a seminar research in fundamental theology. Its full title is: „Elements of Mary’s femininity in the thought of Blessed Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński”. This thesis explores a unique aspect of Mariology, specifically Mary’s femininity as portrayed in the message of Blessed Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński. The Mother of God is presented through selected texts from the Primate of the Millennium’s extensive legacy, highlighting the characteristics of her feminine nature. The article „Mary – Woman of All Times” presents excerpts from the third chapter of the above-mentioned study. The context of feminist Mariology that was used enabled to bring out not only the depth of Wyszynski’s teaching, but also its extraordinary actuality. For the evident process of global feminization affecting both the Church and theological reflection it requires, in equal measure, an adequate response. The answer to the issue can be found, in Stefan Wyszynski’s Mariology.
