The Beauty of Nature as an Aesthetic and Ethical Challenge of Contemporary Times
Synopsis
The issue of nature in contemporary philosophical and aesthetic discourse appears surprisingly marginalized. The question of the aesthetic impact of this dimension of reality is, at best, limited to interactions with various phenomena within art; in ecologically oriented reflections, it is often not developed at all. Reflection on these issues is not merely an exploration of the diversity of beauty in the world. New challenges call for a contemporary reassessment of the aesthetics of nature, demanding a redefinition of the relationship between humans and the natural world. The ecological aesthetics of nature, as proposed by some philosophers, views humans as embodied consciousness embedded within nature, offering a valuable tool for understanding humanity’s place in a constantly evolving world.
