Synopsis

This contribution examines various contemporary requirements of the philosophy-theology relationship. After clarifying practices of confusion and addressing multiple inheritances, the author identifies and defines three fundamental frameworks that structure the hermeneutical space: “Autonomy versus Self-Sufficiency,” “Philosophy and Christian Inspiration,” and “Philosophy for Theology.”
