Troska duszpasterska o polskich emigrantów w Niemczech po 1945 roku

In this paper, the author attempts to present what the Polish pastoral ministry in Germany looked like after the end of World War II. The first part will present the most important legal provisions of the Universal Church regulating issues related to the pastoral care of migrants. The second part shows pastoral ministry activities from year 1945 to 1975, when, under the then applicable church law, the Ordinary for Poles in Germany responsible for pastoral care over compatriots in Germany was appointed. The third part will present the period since 1976 when the Polish Catholic Mission was established and the organizational structure of this pastoral ministry changed. The article also contains figures concerning the number of the faithful, priests and institutions, and discusses the forms of pastoral ministry
